How long will my repair take?
We do our best not to keep your system for more than two working days, and repairs are normally done the same day when no specialised hardware is needed. A collected PC is usually returned the next day.
Do you repair laptops?
Yes. We handle laptop software problems such as operating system faults, malware and slow performance. Laptop hardware faults are diagnosed, and where a specialist repair is needed we arrange it through a repair centre with your approval.
Will you contact me before you start repairs?
Always. You get a diagnosis and quote first, and nothing is repaired or replaced until you say yes.
Can you recover my data?
Data recovery is included in virus and malware work when it is possible. Sadly some cases, such as ransomware attacks, cannot be recovered. Keep at least two duplicate copies of important files, and your data is always treated as private and confidential.
Can you install Linux instead of Windows?
Yes. We install and support Linux Mint, Ubuntu and other distributions, and can set up dual boot with Windows. Linux itself is free.
Do you come to my home or office?
Yes, within the local area under the call-out rate, or by arrangement further out. Many software faults can be fixed remotely with no visit at all.
